1. Sandles- Not your usual casual flip flops, but girly kind with a classic flare. They dress up any getup in about 2 seconds. My favorite right now: The Bandolino “Deba” Gladiator Sandal in gold. They add just the right amount of sparkle to any favorite pair of jeans you may have.
2. Fabric Remnants- Working in the furniture and design industry I get a ton of stray fabric samples and scraps. You should see my closet; it is packed to the brim with these things! I love to make pillows, quilts, bags and purses, etc.
3. My Morning Coffee- Brewed at home or bought at the coffee shop; it’s always Starbucks. Its quite an expensive habit, but I gotta have it! It keeps me going throughout the day and sometimes the night. Favorite brew bean: Espresso Roast. Favorite drink: The triple venti skinny vanilla latte.
4. Water- Hearing it, seeing it, drinking it, swimming in it, or lounging next to it. Whatever form or fashion I have to have it in my life. I’m a water baby (Pisces) so I just can’t get enough.
5. Salvador Dali- I have about 30 of his prints in my apartment. They have been inspiration for many things in my life. I love the colors, the room for interpretation, and the craziness that is surrealism. In that category, Dali is the Man! The print that started it all: The Temptation of St. Anthony.
6. Vintage Jewelry- Love this stuff, especially silver with filigree or stone accents! My new way of finding it: Ebay! There is so much if it out there and all of it is unique. I love to be the only person I know that owns certain pieces. My faves: My Grandma Betsy’s sterling silver rose filigree wrist cuff and her Greek inspired collar necklace.
7. My Sewing Machine- I absolutely adore being creative and sewing is my #1 outlet. Making things gives me a sense of accomplishment. Plus, it has allowed me to hem my pants and jeans for way cheap. Gotta love being short!
8. Music- All of it! It’s a major driving force in my. From Pandora Radio to live local shows to relaxed jam sessions with close friends. It wakes me up in the morning, gets me through the day, and puts me to bed at night. Can’t live without music! One good quote: "Music can say at least a thousand things that words can’t."
9. My Saturday Nights- Not the actual Saturday since I have to work on weekends but it’s my Saturday that usually falls on a Monday. I love to get all dolled up and hit the town. It’s my night to pamper myself for a little bit. So, my giddy mood, with good friends, great music, and a gratifying cocktail makes for a fun filled release.
10. My Digital Cameras- I don’t like to think that I see life through a lens, but I never want to forget living the moments. My camera never leaves my purse. And for the occasional water day on the lake or river I have my water proof camera, the Olympus 3010SW. I love this thing. I don’t have too many personal pictures up in my apartment but thanks to my handy little digital cameras, my computer is loaded with them. Facebook anyone?
11. Spicy Food and Chicken Salad- Not together of course! Although Shiner’s Saloon here in Austin makes a killer spicy chicken salad sandwich. The Prarie Chicken Sandwich, ask for it warmed with a side of jalapeno ranch dressing. Mmmm…it’s to die for! My other faves are Salt Toasted Tofu from Mai’s and Chicken Salad with Soft Pita Bread from Brasil’s, both in Houston.
And last but definitely not the least…
12. My Confidant- He totally gets me and that can be pretty hard to do. To have that special someone to care for means the world to me. I love to nurture and be nurtured. He allows both of those things to happen and actually makes it easy.

1. Can’t live without color – I must be surrounded by fun, happy, cool combinations; in my home (every room is a different color), my clothes, my accessories.
2. Exercise – gotta be dancing, swimming, yoga-ing……..
3. Fruit on my morning cereal
4. Soft lighting to set the mood – lamps, pendants, chandeliers – they just need to be on rheostats.
5. Kitsch- something playful in your interiors that speaks to your personality
6. Massage – after all the years of modern dance and the current fight to stay in shape as I age – I am addicted to giving my muscles restorative therapy.
7. Beautiful television console to give the room a focal point.

8. Thai food – I love ordering it at restaurants, cooking it, eating it, smelling it.
9. Parties – I get such joy out of working my butt off preparing food, decorating, and having friends enjoy themselves at my house. I also love going to parties where I don’t have to do all that too. So where are my invites?!
10. Humor – the Girl’s gotta have it! Either I have to deliver it onstage myself or just have a jolly good time with people.
11. Being the Center of Attention – yes, I am an attention whore. I have always craved the spotlight. Guess it was destiny I found professional dance before I couldn’t move. (it is likely the dancing that has rendered me unmovable these days)
12. My significant other, partner, spousal equivalent, longtime companion, husband – David.
