Trend Spotting for Spring

As we get ready to bid adieu to winter and welcome in our fresh new collections for spring we thought we would give you a heads up on trends to watch for. Here is a sneak peek at six of the highlights for spring:
1. Look for the return of the swivel chair! Swivels give you choices: Face them towards the sectional for conversation, or turn them to the flat screen for viewing. Check out these cool retro inspired swivels from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams.

2. Apartment scale consoles and sectionals. Size is no longer an excuse - every entry and family room deserves to be well outfitted.
3. Get the Metallic look. A variety of new metallic alloy look fabrics like gunmetal and pewter give new meaning to leathers and vinyls. Plus for all its style it is super durable and easy-care. Designers like Ryan Studio and 18 Karat wowed with these sassy metallics.

4. It's a Mad Men's world and mid century designs are taking the world by storm. Now you too can live like a 1950's star in a setting where characters from the hit TV series would feel right at home. Look for everything from upholstery, case goods, and lighting to be mid century inspired.

5. Colors as juicy at fruit. Decorative accents that combine a bright color with white, like tangerine, lemon ,or plum, can accentuate earth toned upholstery and give rooms a subtle 'pop' for spring. These lamps from Arteriors and Robert Abbey come in a variety of starburst colors. And look for lots of all white 18 Karat accessories as well!

6. And last but not least all things 'Rustic, Reclaimed, and Reused' still rule the roost on trends. More and more manufacturers, like our favorite Environment Furniture, are tapping into the consumer's desire for eco-friendly products. A top seller is this Brickmaker coffee table with reclaimed top. And this trend is one you can feel good about getting behind because we all benefit, earth included!
